A unique support and download web site with features integrated into Impact 5, ImpactCAD.net has been launched by Impact author Arden Software and offers a range of online services for Impact users the world over.  ImpactCAD.net gives you access to email support, FAQ’s, troubleshooting articles, product tutorials and downloadable content such as upgrades, service packs, hot-fixes, new library standards and design components.  Much of this content is available completely free of charge, but you can purchase content on a pay-as-you-go basis if you do not have a valid maintenance contract.  It takes seconds to register and costs nothing, so go take a look yourself at http://www.impactcad.net/.

Online access from within Impact If you want to run a standard or add a design component but don't have the design in your current standards library, simply browse for additional content from within the Impact Standards Browser or Design Component toolbox.  Making use of the same technology as Microsoft clipart online, you can browse for downloadable content such as symbol libraries, border plots, Master Tool Settings, standards and design components without having to start up your internet browser.  Once you've found the content you want, simply click on the 'download and install' button and seconds later it's available to use within Impact.  If you're a system administrator, don't panic!  All of this is controlled with user privileges so you can allow users to browse for content and make a request for you to download it on their behalf. How do you know there’s new content available?  It’s easy with the integrated RSS News feed reader in Impact.  You get notified of all new content added on ImpactCAD.net.

The majority of new developments in Impact come from customer suggestions.  To make it even easier for any of our global customers to join in with ideas for making our products even better in the future, ImpactCAD.net has a feature which allows you to add all the information about a development idea or search through existing suggestions and add your own comments to other user’s ideas.  When we're looking for new development ideas, this is the first place we look.  Be heard and benefit!

Add and track your own support incidents
If you do encounter a problem with using Impact, chances are that someone else has had the same issue before.  ImpactCAD.net has a fully searchable archive of solutions and frequently asked questions which will give you step-by-step instructions to a swift resolution.  If a solution doesn't already exist, you can create a new support incident which gets automatically assigned to our Global Support Network team.  Track the progress, add further supporting information and get notified immediately there's a solution using the support incident centre.

Tutorials Many of the common 'problems' in Impact are simply because a user may not know how to use some of the tools to get the results they want.  Impact is a huge program with all the features and packaging designer or diemaker may need.  As such, there's a lot for users to learn and if you're not using some tools every day it can be easy to forget how to use them.
