ARDEN SOFTWARE, a leading author and provider of packaging design solutions, today announced the opening of ARDEN SOFTWARE NORTH AMERICA. ARDEN SOFTWARE NORTH AMERICA will be located in Park City, Utah and officially begins trading July 15, 2008. Jim Silianoff, former founder and President of Dimensional Impressions, will head up this new company.
Chris Rogers, General Manager of ARDEN SOFTWARE, UK stated, "For many years we have distributed our products in North America through Genline Systems, but feel that now is the right time to establish our own presence in the world’s most important packaging market."
ARDEN SOFTWARE has purchased the assets of Genline Systems, including the technical support staff, and responsibility for its existing IMPACT user base will be transferred to ARDEN SOFTWARE NORTH AMERICA.
According to Jim Silianoff, President and CEO of ARDEN SOFTWARE NORTH AMERICA, "There is a true void in technology for package design CAD in the Americas. I am more than confident that with the superior design, manufacturing, 3D and database tools that IMPACT CAD delivers we are in a position to really bring the industry a more than viable option. I just could not be more excited about this opportunity."
Chris Rogers concluded, "It has long been our intention to take this action, but until recently we have not been able to find a suitable individual to head up this new venture. We believe that in Jim Silianoff we have found that person, and a partner who brings with him all the experience and attributes to help us achieve our objectives for IMPACT within North America. I very much look forward to working with Jim to provide this region with a truly credible alternative software supplier."
